Our Software · Custom Software Development

What off-the-shelf software can't do, custom software does.

Every business has its own calculations, its own rules, its own way of working. When ready-made programmes don't fit, the work ends up in spreadsheets and in people's heads. We build the software that does that job from start to finish: from engineering calculations to manufacturing drawings, from news portals to AI assistants.

First step

Tell us about the work first; we'll talk software after.

In a free online demo of about 30 minutes, we listen to how the work runs today and where it gets stuck. If an off-the-shelf programme will do the job, we tell you; if not, we work out the scope together.

When it is needed

If the work doesn't fit the software, the software is made to fit the work.

Not every business needs custom software. But if one of the situations below sounds familiar, software written around the work itself is a better route than wrestling with a ready-made programme.

  • The core calculation lives in a spreadsheet that only one person understands
  • The same data is typed by hand into three separate programmes
  • The ready-made programme does half the job and you finish the rest
  • Every quotation, calculation or drawing is prepared from scratch
What we have built

Rather than describe it, here is what we have made.

These are not concepts; they are software we built and put into operation.

01

Engineering calculation and manufacturing drawing software

For explosion-proof (Ex-proof) electrical panels: the internal components are selected, and the software performs the engineering calculations and produces the 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings itself.

02

News portal

A live news portal, together with the admin panel where content is entered.

03

AI chatbots

Bots that answer customers who write in, book the appointment and hand the matter over to your team when needed.

04

Voice assistants

AI assistants that answer the telephone, hold the conversation and book the appointment.

05

ERP software

We wrote our own ERP software ourselves; we did not adapt an off-the-shelf package.

06

Yours could be next

Tell us about your work, and we'll see together whether a similar solution is possible.

The real difference

The result changes when software is written by someone who knows the business.

PillarRise is a management consulting firm. We approach software not from the code, but from how the work actually runs: the process, the calculations and the rules are made clear first, and the software is built on top of them.

How it works

Four steps, with a written scope.

  1. 1

    Discovery

We listen to how the work runs today and which calculations and rules are used.

  2. 2

    Scope

What the software will do, and what it will not, is set out in writing.

  3. 3

    Development

The software is developed; you see interim versions and steer the direction.

  4. 4

    Go-live and maintenance

The software goes live; afterwards, maintenance and new requests continue under separate services.

The work doesn't end when the software is finished. Backups, security and incident response, and any new requests, continue under separate maintenance and development arrangements. Request a free demo →
Who it is for

Businesses whose work doesn't fit a ready-made programme.

A

Engineering and manufacturing firms

Those who prepare the quotation, calculation and drawing by hand for every order.

B

Businesses run on spreadsheets

Where the real knowledge sits in files and in people, and the work falters when someone leaves.

C

Those using several programmes

Those who enter the same data into different programmes again and again.

Frequently asked

The first questions that come to mind

Why build custom software when off-the-shelf programmes exist?
If an off-the-shelf programme fits the job, using it is the better choice, and we say so plainly in the free demo. Custom software makes sense when the work has its own calculations, rules or workflow that ready-made programmes cannot handle.
What kinds of software have you built?
An engineering application for explosion-proof (Ex-proof) electrical panels that handles internal component selection, the engineering calculations and the 2D/3D manufacturing drawings; a news portal; AI assistants that work over WhatsApp and the telephone; and the ERP software we use ourselves.
What happens once the software is finished?
After go-live, the work continues under two separate arrangements: maintenance, covering backups, security patches, monitoring and incident response; and development time reserved for new requests.
Will it work with our existing systems?
We assess this together during discovery. The systems that need to exchange data are identified at the outset and written into the scope.
How do we get started?
With a free demo of about 30 minutes. We listen to how the work runs today and where it gets stuck, then set out the scope in writing.
